US President Donald Trump is in no hurry to say whether the United States will provide military aid to Ukraine if diplomacy fails, Trump stated while speaking to journalists.

The US President was asked whether he would support Ukraine militarily if he decides to pull out of peace negotiations.

"Well, I don’t want to say that. But we want to see it end," Trump said.

Reaction from the Center for Countering Disinformation

Head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Andriy Kovalenko, commenting on Trump's statement, emphasized that the American leader did not rule out aid to Ukraine.

"He said he won’t talk about it yet, because he believes there will be a deal. That is, he simply won’t comment on it now," he explained.

US may withdraw from negotiations

Earlier, US President Donald Trump said that his country might stop participating in peace talks on Ukraine. This could happen if either Kyiv or Moscow creates serious obstacles.

The American leader also emphasized that there is still a "good chance" to find a solution to end the war.
