Russia, despite significant losses at the front, will have the resources to continue the war in 2025 and beyond, according to the head of the Central Military Intelligence of the Estonian Defense Forces, Ants Kiviselg.

As noted by Kiviselg, the Russian forces have not been able to achieve their goals in their summer offensive, and Ukrainian Defense Forces are likely to hold their defense. As an example, he recalled the recent repulsion of one of the largest Russian assaults in the entire full-scale war in the Kurakhove direction.

"This week's attempt might be another desperate effort to push through from the side and try to impact the Ukrainian rear in such a way that Ukrainians are forced to leave other areas where active hostilities are taking place simply because their logistical routes are cut off," he suggested.

At the same time, the head of Estonian Central Military Intelligence noted that Russia is not expected to deplete its military equipment and forces by 2025, as the enemy has partners and allies, such as North Korea and Iran, who will support it with resources to continue the war.

However, Kiviselg added that with Russia's current losses, it will be "very difficult for them to replenish their personnel and equipment."

"But at the same time, the population of Russia is still so large that there is no trend towards significant changes on the front," he noted.

Situation on the front

According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, today, July 26, the enemy is active almost along the entire line of battle engagement and is concentrating its offensive efforts in the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions.

Additionally, on July 25, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed another 950 Russian soldiers. Total Russian losses in personnel, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, have reached 572,300 individuals.
