American troops are likely to remain in Poland. The US may even station more soldiers there if Warsaw requests, US President Donald Trump made this statement during a meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki.

Trump was asked whether American troops would remain in Poland.

"I think so. Do you know something I don’t? We'll put more (troops - ed.) there if they want," the US president replied.

In April, the US Army Command in Europe and Africa announced it was relocating some forces from its base in Jasenko to other locations in Poland.

Later, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that he had received assurances from the US that they would not reduce their troop presence in the country, and he hopes the White House will honor this commitment.

The media also reported that the US is considering withdrawing up to 10,000 troops from Eastern Europe.

Before the war in Europe, there were about 65,000 US service members in the region, and after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, their numbers sometimes reached 100,000.
