Power of music: How Imagine Dragons stand with Ukraine worldwide

Despite numerous restrictions and bans from some organizers, the American band Imagine Dragons continues to support Ukraine on international stages openly. Their stance is not just words but a courageous gesture of solidarity during a difficult time for the country. Here's how Imagine Dragons show their support and why it matters for Ukrainians and the world.
Why Imagine Dragons support Ukraine
The band believes that music unites people and that symbols inspire the fight. They are confident that Ukraine's victory lies ahead.
Imagine Dragons are official ambassadors of the UNITED24 platform and have consistently supported Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war.
At their concerts worldwide, they have repeatedly displayed the blue and yellow flag and helped raise funds for Ukraine's humanitarian and medical needs.
In 2022 alone, the band helped raise over 6 million dollars to purchase ambulances for Ukrainian doctors.
In 2023, Imagine Dragons released a music video for the song "Crushed," which tells the story of a 14-year-old boy named Sasha who survived five months of occupation.
The video shows the destruction of his home and the tragedy of neighbors who died from shelling.
During the ongoing LOOM world tour, the band's lead singer, Dan Reynolds, regularly shows his support for Ukraine by raising the blue and yellow flag on stage, especially during performances of the song "Believer".
Ukrainian fans often pass the flag onto the stage, adding even more emotional meaning to the concerts.
Such moments have been seen at shows in Milan, Zurich, and Tallinn.
A standout event was the concert in Budapest, during which blue and yellow confetti filled the air during the final song, creating an incredible atmosphere of support for Ukraine.
One of the most touching gestures was when the band’s frontman lifted the flag of an Odesa brigade, hung it on the microphone stand, kissed it, and returned it to the audience.
The brigade described this moment as a powerful symbol of resistance and victory.
"During the Imagine Dragons concert, the band's frontman Dan Reynolds raised our brigade's flag—a symbolic gesture of support that moved every Ukrainian. He showed the victory sign, kissed the flag, and returned it. Throughout the show, the blue and yellow banner appeared multiple times as a reminder to the whole world that Ukraine is still fighting," the brigade stated.
