Ukrainian actress Antonina Khyzhniak has responded to a video posted on the White House official Instagram page. The clip featured a woman who strikingly resembles the "To Catch the Kaidash" star. Here's what is known about the video and how the actress trolled the White House.

How Khyzhniak trolled the White House

The actress recorded a humorous video in which she supposedly receives a call from Donald Trump.

"How I ended up in the White House," she captioned the clip.

In a playful tone, she demands new Patriot systems from the American president to protect Ukrainian skies — and he agrees. In return, she allegedly appears in one of his advertisements.

What is known about the White House video

The original video relates to the new Trump administration's bill aimed at cancelling taxes on overtime work.

The clip was generated by artificial intelligence. It featured a woman who looks very similar to the Ukrainian actress.

How people reacted online

The Institute of Mass Information suggested that an AI model trained on images of the actress may have been used to create the content.

"But if that's the case, it means that any real person with a digital footprint could be reproduced in a fictional context. And their likeness might be used in advertisements or political and governmental communications without their consent," the institute commented.

Notably, the White House post did not include any disclosure about the use of AI.

Ukrainians immediately recognized Khyzhniak in the video. Some joked about it, while others questioned whether her permission had been sought before using her likeness.

This kind of AI use involving real people's images raises serious concerns.
