White House: US does not want to engage in conflict with Iran
The United States will continue to assist Israel in defending itself. However, the White House stated that they do not seek war with Iran, according to Voice of America.
President Joe Biden expressed unwavering support for Israel from Washington. However, further actions against Iran are inappropriate, and the United States will not participate in them.
The United States against the conflict in the Middle East
National security communications adviser John Kirby said that the United States does not want escalation of conflict in the Middle East.
"We don’t want to see this escalate. We’re not looking for a wider war with Iran," said Kirby.
Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated that Israel has the capability to form a strategic alliance "against this serious threat of Iran, which threatens to place nuclear warheads on these missiles. This can be a very serious threat".
“We made it very clear to all parties, including Iran, what we would do … and also how seriously we would take any potential threats to our personnel," stated Kirby.
Iran's attack on Israel
It was reported that on the night of April 14, Iran attempted to attack Israel using 300 drones and missiles. Israel claimed that almost all aerial targets were intercepted, and the damages from the attack were insignificant.
Additionally, with the support of Britain, the United States shot down some of the Iranian drones flying towards Israel.
