White House uproar: CNN journalist called 'disgraceful' after questioning Trump

US President Donald Trump and the White House administration publicly lashed out at CNN reporter Kristen Holmes. The confrontation came after she asked Trump about his close aide, Natalie Harp, according to The Guardian.
Why did a new White House scandal erupt?
Recently, Democratic Senator Jon Ossoff claimed that Trump allegedly does not want to do his job and instead "wants to build his ballroom and travel with Natalie (Harp - Ed.) on their apparently defenseless flying palace gifted by the emir of Qatar"
In doing so, he hinted at the close relationship between the US president and his aide.
CNN reporter Kristen Holmes asked Trump to comment on the allegations but came under a barrage of criticism.
"Quiet, quiet, quiet. You're very disrespectful. Fake news, you're fake news, you’re a loud boisterous person. You're fake news. Be quiet. Be quiet. You're a fake reporter, and you report fake news," Trump said angrily in response to the reporter.
Later, the White House's rapid-response social media account posted footage of Trump's exchange with the reporter and tagged Holmes, calling her "disgraceful and humiliating embarrassment to her alleged profession."
"These scumbags are the lowest of the low," the White House press office said, referring to Holmes.
CNN immediately came to the defense of its reporter amid the high-profile controversy. The network described her as "one of the most respected and accomplished journalists covering the White House."
