White House to host closed intelligence briefing for Trump

Today, October 2, US President Donald Trump will participate in a closed briefing by American intelligence agencies. The topic of the meeting has not been disclosed, according to the White House schedule.
According to the president's schedule, the event is scheduled to take place at 11:00 local time (18:00 Kyiv time) in the Oval Office of the White House.
The topic of the briefing is not disclosed, and the meeting itself will be held without the presence of the press.
Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that the administration of Donald Trump is ready to share intelligence with Kyiv to facilitate strikes on energy facilities and other critical infrastructure on the territory of Russia.
Before that, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Trump supported Ukraine's right to respond to Russian strikes, in particular, to target the energy sector.
Zelenskyy also said that if Russia threatens blackouts in Kyiv, it must understand the risk of power outages in Moscow.
The president emphasized that Ukraine will not show weakness and will respond to strikes on its energy infrastructure.
