Ukraine and the US will hold in-person negotiations. However, this will take place after documents that both sides can agree on are developed, stated Deputy Head of the Office of the President Ihor Brusylov.

According to him, contacts with the American side currently take place almost daily at the level of the Head of the Presidential Office.

"As soon as a document is developed that both sides can agree on, and that can be presented for consideration to the Russian side so that they finally review it and take the initiative of a full ceasefire seriously, such negotiations will be held immediately," Brusylov said.

He added that the work is currently being carried out through phone calls and video conferences.

Peace negotiations to end the war

Last month, a meeting between US and Ukrainian delegations took place in Saudi Arabia, during which the US proposed a full ceasefire with Russia. This was followed by two more rounds of negotiations between the US and Kyiv. Afterward, both sides released joint statements. More details can be found in the material by RBC-Ukraine.

Following the talks between Moscow and Washington, Russia also issued a statement summarizing its meeting with American officials. However, Russia did not support the initiative, claiming that the proposed agreement does not solve Russia’s problems.
