More than 60% of Ukrainians believe that in 10 years Ukraine will become a prosperous country within the European Union, according to a survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology (KIIS).
Respondents were asked to choose one of two statements, each describing a possible future in 10 years.
One of the statements describes Ukraine optimistically as a prosperous member of the EU, while the other, on the contrary, is a pessimistic description of a devastated country.
According to the survey results, the level of optimism has slightly decreased since January 2026, but remains quite high.
Thus, 63% of Ukrainians assess the future of Ukraine optimistically (in January, 66%). Meanwhile, the share of pessimists is 25% (was 22%).
