We need to focus on Ukraine, otherwise Putin will 'come back for more' - UK Foreign Secretary
The international community needs to focus on Russia's war against Ukraine despite the conflict in the Middle East; otherwise, dictator Vladimir Putin will "come back for more," according to UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron in an interview with Sky News.
Russia's war against Ukraine is the "struggle of our generation," which threatens security across the entire continent.
"We know with Putin if you don't stop him here, he will come back for more, and on the sidelines, enemies of America will be cheering," Cameron emphasized.
At the same time, the British minister also disagreed with the idea that the United States would be considered a "less reliable" ally if Congress did not vote for a multi-billion security package that included support for Ukraine.
In his opinion, these funds are "very much needed" by Kyiv, but the issue is "complicated by politics."
UK aid to Ukraine
The United Kingdom has been one of Ukraine's main allies since the start of the full-scale invasion by Russian occupiers.
The Ukrainian military has already received from the British Challenger 2 tanks, long-range Storm Shadow missiles, M270 multiple launch rocket systems, billions of pounds in financial aid, and much more.
Recently, The Times reported that Britain provided Ukraine with Martlet missiles to help defend against Shahed kamikaze drones.
Yesterday, the UK Foreign Secretary David Cameron announced a new winter humanitarian aid package for Ukraine.
