Stephen King’s stance on Russia’s war against Ukraine
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the author has repeatedly expressed public solidarity with Ukraine and its citizens.
King has openly mocked the Kremlin’s attempts to intimidate Ukrainians with military offensives and has refused to collaborate with Russian publishers.
In addition, he has banned the sale of his books in Russia and has repeatedly praised the Ukrainian military's successes during the counteroffensive, highlighting the courage of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At that time, the author publicly exclaimed: "Glory to Ukraine!"

In addition, the author has addressed the Russian authorities on behalf of the international community, directly urging the aggressor country to "get out of Ukraine."
He describes the war itself as a senseless bloodbath and calls Vladimir Putin a politician who should have long ago stepped down so that, in his words, the world could breathe a sigh of relief.
King has also repeatedly emphasized that Russia’s actions against Ukraine should not be called a war, as, in his view, they constitute true terrorism.
