War will end anyway, Putin is not going anywhere — Zelenskyy

The war of Russia against Ukraine will end in any case. The whole world understands that Moscow’s reasons for continuing the aggression are absurd, according to a briefing by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"The war will end anyway, Putin is not going anywhere. One can still come up with reasons — not now, no denazification, illegitimacy of the government, and so on — but in any case, these reasons mean nothing, no one in the world supports them," the president emphasized.
He pointed out that for the world, Russia remains the aggressor. Moscow is guilty of the war, and it is Russia that must end it.
"This will happen in any case, in one form or another, the war will end," Zelenskyy added.
Forecasts on ending the war
Over the past few weeks, several US officials have made optimistic forecasts regarding the end of Russia’s war against Ukraine.
In particular, US Vice President J.D. Vance expects that the war could end within 3–6 months.
For his part, US President’s Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff said he would like to reach a settlement of the war by the end of the year.
At the same time, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said yesterday, August 28, that the war is unlikely to end by the end of the year.
