War in Ukraine could end within two weeks without Western support - Borrell
The war in Ukraine could conclude within two weeks if the West halts its support for Kyiv. However, this would lead to the fulfillment of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's goals, according to EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell.
"Many want the war to end as soon as possible, primarily the Ukrainians themselves. But the key question is how. If we stop supporting Ukraine, the war will end in two weeks, and Putin will achieve his goals," he said.
Borrell added that Europe must continue to support Ukraine to ensure that future negotiations take place on terms that guarantee the country's sovereignty and territorial integrity, which is also crucial for Europe's security.
Ukraine's victory plan
Ukraine recently finalized its victory plan, which President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented during his visit to the US. This plan was discussed with US President Joe Biden, as well as presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
The full content of the plan has not yet been disclosed. However, the head of the Ukrainian President's Office, Andrii Yermak, said that the initiative will be presented to the wider Ukrainian public.
The US State Department commented on the plan, calling it productive and confirming that discussions on this matter will continue.
