The Ukrainian Air Forces have released video footage showing a burning enemy Su-35 fighter jet that was shot down over Russian territory/

The Su-35 fighter jet was destroyed today, June 7, in the Kursk direction.

The press service of the Ukrainian Air Forces shared the video of the downed Russian aircraft. The footage shows the fighter jet burning after being shot down over Russia.

Recall that Russia actively deploys Su-35 fighter jets. This aircraft is designed to intercept and destroy aerial targets. It can also carry out strikes against ground infrastructure and military forces.

The Su-35 itself is an upgraded version of the Su-27. However, this fighter jet also has newer and modernized variants, such as the Su-35S.

How many aircraft has Russia lost?

A week ago, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) carried out the historic operation Spiderweb. As part of this operation, which was prepared for over a year and a half, four Russian airfields were attacked.

According to the SBU, drones struck 41 strategic aviation aircraft, including A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22M3, and Tu-160 models. This accounts for approximately one-third of Russia’s strategic cruise missile carriers.

SBU Chief Vasyl Malyuk stated that Russia suffered damages amounting to $7 billion.

Since the full-scale war began, Ukraine has destroyed a total of 413 Russian aircraft. The occupiers have also lost 337 helicopters of various types.
