Vice-President of the Bundestag arrives in Ukraine
The Vice President of the German Bundestag, Katrin Goering-Eckardt, has arrived on a visit to Ukraine, which will span several days, according to BR24.
"I will be traveling here in the country and in Kyiv, and it is very clear to me: the mood in the country is no longer good," she said.
According to her, the not very good mood is related to lukewarm support and the question of whether the United States will continue to support Ukraine.
"I believe that we have to do everything we can," emphasized the Vice President of the Bundestag.
At the same time, she stated that the promised European Union ammunition and Taurus cruise missiles must be delivered, and financial decisions for further procurement of ammunition must be made at the European level.
"Because this is also about our safety," emphasized Goering-Eckardt.
Germany's assistance to Ukraine
Germany has been one of Ukraine's key allies since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion.
On January 31, Germany provided Ukraine with a new package of military assistance, including missiles for air defense systems, all-terrain vehicles, and armored personnel carriers.
Besides, the German Minister of Health, Karl Lauterbach, assured Ukraine of further assistance and cooperation in the field of healthcare.
Furthermore, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said that Ukraine may soon face a serious shortage of weapons and ammunition.
