According to information from the United States Central Command, Yemeni Houthi rebels today, on January 15, launched an anti-ship ballistic missile at the American vessel Gibraltar Eagle flying the flag of the Marshall Islands.
Houthi attacks
It's worth noting that Yemeni Houthi rebels, local militants, have been regularly carrying out attacks on ships and vessels near their coastline in recent months.
This escalation follows Israel's conflict with Hamas.
In response, the United States and Britain recently launched missile strikes on Yemeni targets associated with the Houthis.
The strikes are poised to continue if the Houthi attacks persist.
