US Vice President JD Vance is seeking to win over Republicans who have grown disillusioned with Donald Trump's policies, Fox News Digital reports.
According to insiders, Vance wants to build a new political alliance ahead of the 2028 presidential election.
Vance is reportedly advocating the formation of a "New Right" alliance. It would bring together Republicans who support the original principles of the MAGA "America First" movement.
Its key demands include avoiding involvement in foreign conflicts, lowering the cost of living, and strengthening border security.
At the same time, some of these voters are unhappy with what they see as Trump's overly close alignment with Israel on foreign policy.
Some members of the right wing directly link the war with Iran to Israel's influence in the Middle East and the US president's personal relationship with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
However, the source emphasizes that Vance is not trying to distance himself from Trump or sever his political ties with him.
His goal is to win over Republicans who remain supporters of the current president but oppose his foreign policy agenda and feel betrayed by it.
"Vance is our candidate," one administration official said, conveying the vice president's main message to this group of voters.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Republicans were publicly criticizing Trump and calling on him to change his political course.
We also reported that the White House chief had identified what he considered the main reason behind his party's election defeat.
