Vance makes statement about Waltz's high-profile transfer to UN

Yesterday, Mike Waltz resigned from his position as the National Security Advisor to the President of the US. However, US Vice President JD Vance denies the interpretation of this as a dismissal, according to CNN and The Guardian.
Vance insists that Waltz's transfer to the position of US Ambassador to the UN is a promotion.
“He wasn’t let go. He is being made ambassador to the United Nations, which, of course, is a Senate-confirmed position. I think you can make a good argument that it’s a promotion," Vance said in an interview with Fox News.
He also accused the media of portraying Waltz's departure from the top national security position as a dismissal.
"The media wants to frame this as a firing. Donald Trump has fired a lot of people. He doesn’t give them Senate-confirmed appointments afterwards. What he thinks is that Mike Waltz is going to better serve the administration – most importantly, the American people – in that role," the official stated.
Vance was also asked whether further investigations into the environment of senior officials were expected, to which he replied that the work of Pentagon head, Pete Hegseth, is secure.
"We’ve got total faith in Pete," he asserted.
