Rising fuel prices and the highest level of inflation in the US in half a century are linked to outbreaks of aggression around the world, including Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, according to a statement by US Vice President JD Vance.

The American politician acknowledged the problem of record inflation in the country and urged people to recall the events of 2022. According to him, it was after Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine that fuel costs in the US rose sharply, reaching significantly higher levels than they are now.

Vance noted that similar price spikes had been observed in the country’s history before - specifically in 1979, 2001, and 2007.

The US Vice President stated that prices spiked every time some petty dictator decided to throw a tantrum.

Representatives of the US Democratic Party are laying the groundwork for an investigation into a diesel deal between Washington and Moscow. Relevant letters with demands have already been received by bank and port authorities.

Furthermore, the Financial Times reported that American voters are concerned about corruption in the administration of US President Donald Trump.

Dissatisfaction with the government’s actions is intensifying against the backdrop of rising prices and an unpopular war with Iran.
