Former undisputed heavyweight world champion Oleksandr Usyk was among the star guests at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final. In the stands, the Ukrainian boxing icon met one of football's greatest legends, according to Oleksandr Usyk's official Instagram page.
The legendary boxer met Spain icon Sergio Ramos in the VIP area of the stadium in New Jersey. Notably, Usyk has previously named Ramos as one of the Spanish national team's stars he admires.
In the video, Usyk and Ramos warmly greeted each other, exchanged a firm handshake, and shared a few friendly words.
"Great to see you. We're supporting the same team. Vamos, Spain!" Oleksandr Usyk captioned the video.
A strong Ukrainian presence at the biggest match
The boxing champion did not attend the stadium alone; he was accompanied by his wife, Kateryna Usyk. The Usyk family was joined by several other high-profile Ukrainians watching the World Cup final.
Among them was Ukrainian Football Association president Andriy Shevchenko, who posed for a photo with Usyk. Ukraine international Oleksandr Zinchenko was also spotted in the stands alongside his wife, Vlada Sedan.
