In the photo, the boxer and the president are shaking hands. No details of the meeting have been released.
In February 2025, Zelenskyy brought Trump a belt from Usyk during a meeting at the White House. When asked what happened to the belt afterward, both answered enigmatically. The boxer himself only remarked: "I know what this belt is, but I just can't tell anyone anything."
Later, Usyk publicly addressed the US president several times. In April 2025, he called on Trump to "open his eyes" to the war in Ukraine, calling his statements about Ukraine complete nonsense. And in June 2025, he invited the president to come to Ukraine in person and reminded him that drones and missiles fly over his house every night.
Outside of boxing, Usyk is gaining increasing recognition. Recently, a magazine included him on its list of the most influential people in the world, alongside Messi, Ronaldo, and NBA stars.
