US–Ukraine Investment Fund launches: First projects underway

The US-Ukraine Investment Fund for Reconstruction has commenced its operations. The first pool of projects in the areas of critical minerals, energy, and infrastructure is currently being formed, according to Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko.
The Ukrainian Prime Minister, Yulia Svyrydenko, met with US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and thanked him for his support of productive cooperation.

"The US–Ukraine Reconstruction Investment Fund has begun its operations — an important milestone in expanding strategic economic cooperation between our countries. A few procedural decisions remain for its full-scale launch, but the first pipeline of priority projects is already forming," Svyrydenko explains.
According to her, they are focusing on priority projects in:
- critical minerals,
- energy,
- infrastructure.
Ukraine-US minerals deal
On May 1, Ukraine and the US signed an agreement to establish a US-Ukraine Investment Fund for Recovery. On May 8, the Verkhovna Rada ratified the intergovernmental agreement.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law on May 12, completing the ratification process.
Moreover, the US-Ukraine investment fund began to accumulate funds.
