US to provide Israel with anti-missile systems
The United States will provide Israel with missile defense systems. They will be used to protect against Iranian ballistic missiles, states the Israeli TV channel 12.
According to the TV channel, the air defense batteries will be located on the territory of Israel, but they will be manned by US military personnel. Such cooperation has previously been practiced between Israel and the United States, according to Channel 12.
The purpose of this cooperation, as explained by the channel, is for Israel, together with the United States, to prepare for a possible Iranian strike in response to Israeli retaliation for the October 1 attack.
The TV channel did not specify which air defense systems would be involved in the defense of Israel.
Aggravation between Israel and Iran
On October 1, Iran launched a large-scale missile attack on Israel. This happened after the Israeli army eliminated the leader of the Hezbollah terrorist organization, which is supported by Tehran.
Israel has promised to respond to this attack. As stated by Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Israel's response would be “lethal, precise and surprising.”
It was expected that the targets of Israel's attack would be Iran's energy, oil and nuclear facilities. But today, the American TV channel NBC reported that Israel has narrowed the range of targets.
