The US authorities have set April 9 as the date to end the war against Iran. Negotiations between Washington and Tehran are expected to take place soon, Ynet informs.

An unnamed Israeli source told the outlet the date for ending the war. According to the source, "ending the war on April 9 will allow Trump to arrive in Israel on Independence Day to receive the Israel Prize."

The Israel Prize is the most prestigious award presented on the country’s Independence Day. Its value is 75,000 shekels.

The Ynet source also added that US–Iran negotiations are expected to take place this week in Pakistan.

"The Americans did not inform Israel about the talks with Ghalibaf (Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf)," the source clarified.

US–Iran negotiations

Earlier today, March 23, US President Donald Trump said that a deal with Iran could be reached within five days or sooner. According to him, Tehran is interested in reaching a peace agreement.

The American leader also ordered his troops to pause strikes on targets inside Iran.

At the same time, Reuters sources reported that the US is holding talks with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Ghalibaf.

Ghalibaf himself, commenting on the rumors, said that no negotiations with the US had taken place and that he continues to support his country’s Supreme Leader.
