The US has resumed intelligence sharing with Ukraine to provide warnings about Russian ballistic missile attacks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said at a press conference following a meeting with US President's special envoy Steve Witkoff.
According to the Ukrainian president, Ukraine is grateful that intelligence sharing with the US is functioning again.
"Speaking about the early warning, which is very important for our people, for children, adults, and civilians, because we can hear when a ballistic missile is coming," Zelenskyy said.
He recalled that he had also discussed intelligence sharing with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Intelligence sharing
Earlier, media reports suggested that the US had threatened to suspend intelligence sharing with Ukraine if Ukrainian forces did not stop striking Russian oil refineries.
After that, Ukraine failed to receive US warnings about Russian ballistic missile launches on several occasions.
Missiles reached Kyiv before air raid alerts were issued. People did not even have a chance to reach shelters.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy himself confirmed disruptions in the provision of information about ballistic missile threats.
