US pushes with appeals: Number of countries ready for tariff negotiations increases

Around 70 countries have already reached out to the US to discuss the issue of import tariffs, states US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent.
"I can tell you that there are 50/ 60 maybe almost 70 countries now who have approached us. So, it's it's going to be a busy April, May, maybe into June," said the US Treasury Secretary.
Bessent also added that President Trump is prepared to give priority and maximum freedom in negotiations to Japan, as a key military and economic partner of the US.

Last week, US President Donald Trump imposed tariffs on most of Washington's largest trading partners.
Trump confirmed his willingness to engage in negotiations with individual countries regarding tariffs and to strike fair and beneficial deals.
Earlier, Bessent had stated that Washington is prepared to enter negotiations on the new tariffs with over 50 countries worldwide.
