The Women's and Men's Tennis Associations, WTA and ATP, released updated rankings reflecting results from tournaments concluded on August 24. The changes came just before the main draw of the last Grand Slam of 2025, the US Open, where four Ukrainian players will compete. Here are the updates on the official WTA website.

Ukrainian players in WTA rankings

Before the start of the US Open main draw, Ukraine's top-ranked player, Elina Svitolina, dropped two spots and is now ranked 15th in the world.

Marta Kostyuk and Dayana Yastremska, who have recently not competed, both rose one position, moving to 28th and 31st, respectively.

Yuliia Starodubtseva lost in the first round of the Cleveland tournament and fell to 68th place.

Meanwhile, Anhelina Kalinina, who is still recovering from injury, gained one spot and is now 135th.

In the second hundred of the rankings, Daria Snigur made little progress, moving to 171st, while Oleksandra Oliynykova dropped positions to 202nd.

WTA rankings

There were minimal changes in the top 10. Iga Świątek moved up to second place, surpassing Coco Gauff. Jasmine Paolini overtook Amanda Anisimova.

Aryna Sabalenka remains the leader, while Kazakhstan's Elena Rybakina rounds out the top ten.

Changes in ATP rankings

In men's tennis, the biggest progress was made by Vitaliy Sachko, who rose five positions to 217th. The Ukrainian returned to the US Open qualifying for the first time in two years but lost in the opening round.

Oleg Prihodko fell to 309th place, and Oleksandr Ovcharenko to 385th. Meanwhile, 21-year-old Viacheslav Bielinskyi achieved a personal best, moving up to 411th thanks to a win at an ITF tournament in Poland.

ATP rankings

No changes occurred in the top ten, with Italy's Jannik Sinner still leading. His closest pursuers remain Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev.

The main draw for men's and women's singles will take place from August 24 to September 7.

Among Ukrainian players, Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremska, and Yuliia Starodubtseva have already entered the main draw.

The first Ukrainian on the court was Starodubtseva, who lost to the neutral Anna Blinkova.

Ukrainian Ovcharenko won the ITF M25 doubles tournament in Italy, claiming the 13th doubles title of his career.
