The US has launched strikes on several locations in Yemen, including its capital, Sana'a, and the port city of Hodeidah. The targets were Houthi strongholds, The Guardian informs.
An anonymous US official stated that US military forces have carried out strikes on a number of Houthi targets in Yemen.
According to the official, American aircraft and ships targeted weapon systems, bases, and other equipment belonging to the Iran-backed group, resulting in strikes on Houthi strongholds.

According to Houthi media, seven strikes were carried out on the airport in Hodeidah and in the Katheib area, where a military base controlled by the Houthis is located.
Four additional strikes targeted the Seiyana area in the capital, Sana'a, and two strikes were conducted in the Dhamar province, according to Houthi reports. The Houthi press service also reported three airstrikes in the Bayda province, southeast of Sana'a.
