US military forces conducted a raid in Syria’s Aleppo province, resulting in the elimination of senior ISIS leader Dhiya’ Zawba Muslih al-Hardani, according to the US Central Command on Twitter (X).

"Early this morning in al Bab, Aleppo Governorate, Syria, CENTCOM Forces conducted a raid resulting in the death of senior ISIS Leader, Dhiya’ Zawba Muslih al-Hardani," the Central Command statement said.

It was specified that the military also killed two adult sons of the terrorist — Abdallah Dhiya al-Hardani and Abd al-Rahman Dhiya Zawba al-Hardani.

"These ISIS individuals posed a threat to US and Coalition Forces, as well as the new Syrian Government. Three women and three children were also on the target and were unharmed," the US military emphasized.

General Michael Erik Kurilla, commander of the US Central Command, vowed that the US will relentlessly pursue ISIS terrorists wherever in the world they may be.

"ISIS terrorists are not safe where they sleep, where they operate, and where they hide," he stressed.

Who is Dhiya’ Zawba Muslih al-Hardani

It is worth noting that official information about his status within ISIS is currently limited. CENTCOM refers to him as a "senior leader" of the organization but does not specify his exact position or main role within the group’s structure.

In February of this year, US President Donald Trump announced that American military forces had eliminated one of the leaders of Al-Qaeda in Syria.
