The winner of the election has already been determined in half of the US. Democratic candidate Kamala Harris is projected to win in eight states, while Republican candidate Donald Trump leads in 17 states, reports The New York Times.

Currently, Harris has 99 electoral votes, while Donald Trump holds 177. To win the election, a candidate must secure at least 270 electoral votes.

So far, all state results appear as anticipated and align with pre-election forecasts. None of the key battleground states, which will ultimately decide the election outcome, have declared a winner yet.

The results are based on exit polls, preliminary vote counts, and historical voting patterns in individual states.
