US does not authorize Ukraine to strike Russia with ATACMS missiles - White House
The United States has not changed its position on strikes on Russian territory with ATACMS missiles. The prohibition for Ukraine remains, stated White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, according to Bloomberg correspondent Jennifer Jacobs.
According to Sullivan, the United States still did not allow Ukraine to use ATACMS for deep strikes into Russia.
"Our policy has not changed," he added.
Strikes on Russia with American weapons
The United States has already authorized Ukraine to use its weapons to strike Russian territory, but only within the border.
A few days ago, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the Ukrainian delegation in Washington would ask the United States for permission to strike Russian airfields.
At the same time, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during his current visit to Washington, called on the United States to lift restrictions on Ukraine's strikes on Russian aircraft.
