US confirms transfer of Iranian missiles to Russia, imposes new sanctions today
The Russian Federation has received ballistic missiles from Iran. The enemy is likely to use them against Ukraine over the next few weeks, according to the United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
"We have warned Tehran publicly, we have warned Tehran privately, that this step would be a dangerous escalation. Russia has already received batches of these missiles," Blinken said.
He also added that Russia is likely to use Iranian ballistic missiles within a few weeks.
In particular, the Secretary of State added that today, September 10, the United States will announce new sanctions. It is known that Iran's largest airline, Iran Air, will be subject to restrictions.
Iran's ballistic missiles for Russia
Back in September, The Wall Street Journal reported that the Russian Federation had received a batch of ballistic missiles from Iran, probably of short-range capability. Earlier, it was also revealed that Tehran had stepped up its production of missiles and drones after signing a cooperation agreement with the terrorist country.
Today, on September 10, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that he currently has no specific facts to confirm the transfer of missiles.
Meanwhile, aviation market development expert Bohdan Dolintsev told what is known about the missiles and which areas will be under threat.
