US and UK to discuss new economic deal on advanced technologies

The United States and the United Kingdom will negotiate and work on a new economic agreement. UK Minister Keir Starmer says it will be based on advanced technologies.
He emphasized that the United Kingdom and the United States have deep economic ties. In particular, according to Starmer, $1.5 trillion has been invested in each other's economies.
“(We’re) leaders in AI and look, we take a similar approach on this issue. Instead of over-regulating these new technologies, we’re seizing the opportunities that they offer,” Starmer said after the meeting with Trump.
On February 27, US President Donald Trump met with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Washington, DC.
In particular, during this visit, journalists reminded the American leader of the duties he said he was ready to impose on the EU. In this regard, media representatives asked what Starmer could do to protect the country from harsh tariffs.
In response, Trump again criticized the EU's trade policy, hinting that the United Kingdom could avoid tariffs. Trump called Britain a very different place, one that he has a particularly warm feeling about.
