US aid to Ukraine: When will Senate vote on bill
The US Senate will consider the bill on aid to Ukraine passed by the House of Representatives on Tuesday, April 23, states Democrat Chuck Schumer, US Senate Majority Leader.
Today, on April 20, after the bill was approved in the House of Representatives, Democratic and Republican senators reached an agreement that allows for a vote on aid to Ukraine.
"The Senate now stands ready to take the next step," Schumer said.
According to Schumer, the vote on the aid to Ukraine will take place on Tuesday, April 23, in the afternoon.
US aid to Ukraine
On Saturday, April 20, the US House of Representatives approved a bill to allocate nearly $61 billion in aid to Ukraine. The bill was initiated by House Speaker Mike Johnson. Now the Senate is to consider the document.
The White House has promised that a new package of military aid to Ukraine will be allocated as soon as the bill is approved by the US Congress.
