The United States accused China of supporting Russia's war. A fierce dispute took place in the UN Security Council, Reuters reports.

Washington said that Beijing should stop supplying dual-use goods that strengthen the Russian army.

During a meeting of the UN Security Council, US representative Dorothy Shea directly accused China of facilitating Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

According to her, Chinese components are regularly found in drones, weapons, and equipment that Russia uses for attacks.

Washington called on Beijing to stop exporting dual-use goods that end up in the Russian military-industrial complex and allow the Kremlin to maintain a high pace of strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure.

In response, Chinese representative Geng Shuang said that his country is not a party to the conflict and has never supplied lethal weapons.

He called on the US to stop provoking confrontation and instead promote a ceasefire and dialogue.

Against this background, Reuters revealed an investigation into the schemes for delivering Chinese engines to Russia through fictitious companies.

According to journalists, the engines are disguised as industrial refrigeration units to circumvent Western sanctions.

Trump's ultimatum

Last week, Donald Trump said that Vladimir Putin is lying and does not want the war to end.

The US president gave the Kremlin 50 days to reach a peace deal, threatening 100% secondary sanctions against the Russian oil industry. Trump also suggested that restrictions could be imposed even earlier.

The United States at the UN reminded the Kremlin of the need to end the war in Ukraine within 50 days and criticized China for helping the Russian defense sector.

The US ambassador noted that Russia continues to kill Ukrainian civilians.
