Unknown drones strike Belgorod - One killed and several injured

On the evening of July 16, unknown drones attacked the Russian city of Belgorod. Due to the strikes, one local resident was killed and several others were injured, Russian public channels and the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, report.
Information about the threat of a drone strike on the Belgorod region appeared around 8:00 p.m. local time.
Later, explosions began to be heard over Belgorod due to the drone attack, and eyewitnesses filmed the work of air defense systems and the aftermath.
At 10:45 p.m., the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported the death of a local resident due to the drone attack.
In addition, according to preliminary information, five people were injured.
"Two women and three men with shrapnel wounds are being transported by ambulance crews to medical facilities. All necessary assistance is being provided. Six households have been damaged," Gladkov reported.
At 11:17 p.m., the governor reported that the total number of injured had risen to six.
Drone attacks on Russia
Unknown strike drones regularly attack Russian regions.
For instance, on July 4, drones struck a chemical plant in the city of Shebekino. A large fire broke out at the site of the attack.
On the night of July 3, drones struck the city of Lipetsk and the Lipetsk region. The target of the strike was the military airfield Lipetsk-2.
Earlier, in March, drones attacked the building of the local administration. It was damaged, and government employees were injured.
