During the night of November 11–12, an unidentified drone flew over the Mulhouse railway station, where a train carrying Leclerc tanks was stationed, Europe1 reports.
According to media reports, the drone made several flights over the Mulhouse railway station, where a train carrying Leclerc tanks was located. A security guard raised the alarm.
A few minutes later, police officers also spotted a drone flying over the central police station. At least two back-and-forth flights were recorded. An investigation has been launched.
Drones in Europe
Recently, several European countries — notably Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Poland and the Netherlands — have been recording an increasing number of incidents involving unknown drones over critical infrastructure and defense sites.
The Wall Street Journal reported that in 2025, the number of incidents involving unauthorized drone use in Germany rose sharply, with more than a thousand cases recorded since the start of the year. The investigation is ongoing, but authorities do not rule out a possible connection to Russia.
On average in Germany, three drones per day are detected over military sites, defense industry facilities and critical infrastructure.
Against this backdrop, Ukraine announced plans to open defense production offices in Berlin and Copenhagen by the end of the year. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy explained that those cities were chosen because of close cooperation with Denmark and Germany on joint weapons production.
Earlier, Ukraine said it was ready to help partners with drone production, drawing on its own combat experience.
