On the night of June 22, the US carried out airstrikes on three key Iranian nuclear sites - Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. The attacks sparked a sharp reaction from the UN, states UN Secretary-General António Guterres on X.

António Guterres called US President Donald Trump’s decision to bomb Iran a dangerous escalation that threatens international security.

He expressed deep concern over the potential consequences of these actions for both regional and global stability.

Guterres urged all parties to refrain from actions that could lead to a broader conflict and to return to dialogue and diplomatic means of resolving disputes. According to him, peace and stability can only be achieved through negotiations and mutual understanding, not through military action.

On June 22, 2025, the US carried out airstrikes on three key Iranian nuclear facilities - Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. President Donald Trump personally confirmed the operation, calling it a remarkable military success and stating that all aircraft returned safely to their bases.

The strike involved B-2 strategic bombers equipped with 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs.
