Ukrainian partisans conducted a special operation in occupied Melitopol. The Russian occupiers were eliminated and their equipment was damaged, reports the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

The resistance movement organized an attack at noon on December 1 at the entrance to the temporarily occupied Melitopol. The action of revenge against the enemies took place at 115 Bohdan Khmelnytskyi Avenue, where the Russian invaders liked to stop for a smoke break.

"The Ukrainian resistance forces killed several Russian occupants and damaged an enemy fuel tanker, putting the military equipment out of action," the statement said.

The DIU notes that the Russian occupation administration in Melitopol is trying to hide the consequences of the attack because it is afraid of the Kremlin's special services.

Situation in Zaporizhzhia region

Russian troops have occupied the territories along the Azov Sea in the first months of the full-scale invasion. The cities of Melitopol, Berdiansk, and Tokmak became the main Russian strongholds.

Explosions have recently become more frequent in occupied Melitopol. According to residents, the occupiers feel uneasy in the city, as the Armed Forces have weapons that can reach them.

The DIU and partisans continue to conduct special operations against the Russian invaders in the occupied territories. For example, in late November, Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov said that partisans had a firefight with Kadyrov's men and blew up their car.
