Late on Saturday evening, November 29, the Russian forces attacked Vyshhorod in the Kyiv region with drones. So far, one fatality and more than a dozen injuries have been reported, according to Mykola Kalashnyk, head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration.

“Unfortunately, as a result of the enemy attack in Vyshhorod, one person has died, and 11 were injured, including one child. Six people have been hospitalized,” the statement reads.

He also added that rescue workers are evacuating residents from the high-rise building. Firefighting efforts are ongoing.

“The number of injured may increase. Medics and psychologists are working on-site. All necessary assistance is being provided,” Kalashnyk added.

Attack on the Kyiv region

Late on November 29, an air-raid alert was declared in Kyiv and the Kyiv region due to the threat of drone attacks.

Shortly after, local communities reported that one of the drones had hit a building and damaged a local market.

Later, Mykola Kalashnyk published official information about the consequences of the attack. He wrote that a high-rise building in Vyshhorod caught fire as a result of the Russian attack. In addition, another private house was destroyed, and a fire broke out at a local enterprise.
