Ukrainian defenders have already ordered half a million units of drones and other high-tech equipment through the Brave1 Market platform. This became possible thanks to the combat points system, which allows units to independently choose the necessary weapons, according to the Facebook page of Ukrainian Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
To date, the digital platform is used by over 400 combat units of the Defense Forces. Last August, the government launched an updated version of the e-points program, which was fully integrated with the Brave1 Market marketplace, the minister noted.
"In August of last year, we launched an updated version of the e-points program, integrated with the Brave1 Market marketplace, where military personnel can exchange eBaly for drones, rocket and anti-tank systems, electronic warfare (EW) systems, and other technologies. Today, it is already used by over 400 combat units, which have ordered more than 500,000 drones and other equipment using combat points," Fedorov wrote.
The logic of the process is crystal clear: military personnel perform tasks and receive virtual currency for doing so. Then they spend it on real equipment. The scheme eliminates excessive bureaucracy.
What points are awarded for
Points are awarded for various types of activity. It is not only about destroying the enemy. The state also encourages reconnaissance, complex logistics, and the rescue of the wounded.
"The more effectively a unit operates, the more additional capabilities it will receive," the minister explained.
Military personnel contact manufacturers directly, without intermediaries. Fast payment and logistics are handled by a special state system.
"The military chooses – the state provides. Units directly order the necessary equipment from manufacturers, while payment and rapid delivery are handled by the DOT-Chain Defence system," Fedorov emphasized.
What else is known about Ukrainian drones
Since the beginning of the year, Ukrainian drones have struck 800,000 enemy targets. Currently, drones account for more than 90% of all losses inflicted on the occupiers, the Minister of Defense reports.
In addition, Ukraine has developed the Dancer 4.5.0 interceptor drone, which reaches speeds of over 450 km/h. It can engage targets at altitudes up to 4.8 km and has an operational range of up to 30 km.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian defense-tech company General Cherechnya has unveiled a new reconnaissance drone called Sweetheart. It is designed for intelligence operations deep behind enemy lines.
