On July 23, Russia's Rubikon unit, known for carrying out drone strikes against Ukrainian civilians, was once again targeted by Ukraine's Defense Forces, according to a source within the Budanov Units.

Budanov Units hit Rubikon

Operatives from the Budanov Units launched a successful attack on Rubikon military personnel.

According to the source, the operation took place at 10:00 a.m. in the occupied city of Dniprorudne in Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia region. According to available information, Budanov’s Units killed three Rubikon drone pilots and injured a fourth by remotely detonating a high-explosive charge.

"This crew had been terrorizing civilians of Zaporizhzhia for a long time through indiscriminate drone attacks. Retribution has reached them, and it will reach every Russian war criminal," the Ukrainian unit said.

According to the source, the strike on the Russian military personnel is further confirmed by correspondence among enemy personnel.

Ukrainian forces deliver retaliation to Rubikon unit

In recent days, the unit reportedly eliminated Russian serviceman Roman Vnukov, known by the callsign "Batman," in the Russian-occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region.

Earlier, the same unit killed Russian military engineer Andrey Tisarev, who was involved in supporting Russia's war against Ukraine.

Among the Russian military personnel secretly trained by China may have been drone operators from the elite Rubikon unit.

On the night of March 18, long-range drones of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces struck a secret Russian drone technology center Rubicon in occupied Donetsk.

Earlier, on February 10, the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out a series of strikes against Russian military facilities in occupied territories and inside Russia, including a drone command post linked to the Rubikon center.
