Last night, long-range drones of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces hit the base of the secret Russian drone technology center Rubicon in occupied Donetsk. A video has appeared online, according to the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As noted, the Special Operations Forces carried out a series of Middle Strike attacks on enemy targets in the occupied Donetsk region on the night of March 18.

In particular, in Donetsk itself, long-range drones of the Special Operations Forces hit the base of the secret Russian drone technology center Rubicon and a control element of this unit.

Also in the occupied city, a coordination center for enemy drone units was hit.

In the occupied settlement of Vilne, ammunition depots, equipment, and property, as well as a site for the accumulation and distribution of ammunition, were hit.

"The units of the Special Operations Forces are carrying out Middle Strike attacks on enemy targets in the occupied territory of Ukraine. Underground members of the Resistance Movement contributed to the success of this series of strikes," the statement said.

The Special Operations Forces continue asymmetric actions to strategically weaken the enemy in the war against Ukraine.

What is known about Rubicon

The Rubicon center in Russia is positioned as a training base for operators of strike and reconnaissance drones.

Since the start of the full-scale war, drones have become one of the key tools of combat operations, and UAV units — among the highest priorities in the structure of the Russian military.

Strikes on Rubicon

Ukrainian forces have recently carried out a number of successful strikes on positions of the elite Russian Rubicon unit.

In February, the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit a remote piloting point of this unit in the village of Vysoke in the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region — several drones reached the target.

In addition, in November, FPV drones destroyed Rubicon positions, and the General Staff confirmed the strike on a drone storage base of the unit in the occupied part of the Donetsk region.
