Ukrainian singer and Dutch band release song — Powerful duet, video

Jerry Heil impressed with a duet with the Dutch band Within Temptation, which has supported Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war. The artists released a joint single, "Sing Like A Siren."
Details about the collaboration
Rumors had long circulated online that the Ukrainian artist was preparing a duet with a well-known foreign performer. Finally, it became clear who she had been working with all this time.
On May 16, Jerry released a video in which she appears alongside the band's frontwoman, 50-year-old Sharon den Adel, inviting fans to listen to the new track.
About the song 'Sing Like A Siren'
According to the band, this work is unlike anything they have done before. The central theme of "Sing Like A Siren" is a Ukrainian folk spring song. It combines rock, classical vocals, and Ukrainian folk elements.
The song serves both as "a call to action and a guiding force for the lost," the band stated.
According to Jerry Heil, the composition is full of metaphorical meaning. The performers sing about a girl and the water as separate characters, through which they convey a story about human connection with nature and inner strength.
"The raging water represents the challenges we face on the way to our 'safe harbor'. But the key is understanding that we don't have to fight nature. Once we see ourselves as part of it, we realize that sometimes, we are the ones who create the storm," she explained.

About Within Temptation
The Dutch music band was formed in 1996 by guitarist Robert Westerholt and vocalist Sharon den Adel. Among their famous songs are "What Have You Done," "The Heart of Everything," "Paradise," and others.
The band is also known for its support of Ukraine. Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion in February 2022, they have consistently drawn attention to the war in Ukraine.
Within Temptation dedicated the songs "Raise Your Banner" and "Wireless" to Ukraine and performed at concerts where funds were raised to support Ukrainian soldiers.
In March 2024, Sharon den Adel visited Ukraine and filmed a music video for the song "A Fool's Parade" with Ukrainian rapper Yarmak. In June of the same year, she performed at the Atlas Festival in Kyiv.
