Ukrainian President to visit Berlin today: What’s on agenda

The German government has officially confirmed the visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. He will visit Berlin on May 28.
According to German government spokesperson Stefan Kornelius, Chancellor Friedrich Merz will receive Zelenskyy with military honors in his office.
"The visit will focus on Germany's support for Ukraine and efforts to achieve a ceasefire," he said.
The talks will be followed by a joint lunch, and a joint press conference is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28. Afterward, the two sides will meet with representatives of German companies.
"In the afternoon, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will meet with Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier," Kornelius added.
According to him, the talks between Zelenskyy and Steinmeier will take place at the Bellevue Palace.
Zelenskyy's visit to Germany
Recently, it was reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy would pay a visit to Berlin on Wednesday, May 28. There, he will meet with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held his first talks with Friedrich Merz as German Chancellor on May 8. The parties also discussed support for Ukraine.
Zelenskyy last visited Berlin in June and October 2024.
