The Atesh partisan movement has carried out another successful sabotage operation in the rear of Russia. This time, its agents reportedly destroyed a rare piece of Russian Railways recovery equipment in Voronezh.
According to the movement, the sabotage was carried out at a railway station. As a result of the operation, the partisans destroyed a heavy-duty railway recovery crane of the EDK-300/5 series. This equipment has already been discontinued.
"The EDK-300/5 is designed for complex emergency recovery work on railways and is capable of lifting loads of up to 300 tons… Replacing the destroyed crane will require significant time and resources," the statement said.
Atesh noted that only a few such cranes remain in the possession of Russian Railways, meaning each loss complicates the enemy's ability to restore damaged infrastructure and deal with the aftermath of accidents at key hubs.

"Pursuant to the Russian army searching for a replacement, the railway hub and logistics in the region are operating with limited recovery capacity. Even in the deep rear, critical equipment is not protected from destruction," the movement summarized.
Other acts of sabotage
As a reminder, at the end of May, Atesh reported that its agents helped blind air defenses in Novorossiysk before the Ukrainian military struck the largest oil storage facility in the Caucasus.
That same month, partisans destroyed an electric locomotive in the Lipetsk region, disrupting the transfer of military cargo toward the Sumy direction. Russia typically uses such locomotives to transport ammunition, fuel, weapons, and heavy equipment.
