Ukrainian Parliament appoints new Foreign Minister
Today, on September 5, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Andrii Sybiha as the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, according to MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.
258 MPs voted in favor of the decision.

On 4 September, former Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba submitted his resignation. However, on that day, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine decided to postpone Kuleba's dismissal.
Today, September 5, the Ukrainian Parliament voted to dismiss Dmytro Kuleba from the post of Foreign Minister.
Andrii Sybiha
Sybiha was born on 1 January 1975 in Zboriv, Ternopil region.
He graduated from the Ivan Franko State University of Lviv. He majored in international relations and English translation. Later, he graduated from the same university with a law degree.
He began his career in 1997 as Second Secretary of the State and Legal Affairs Department of the Treaty and Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
He also worked at the Embassy of Ukraine in Poland and Türkiye. In addition, he was the First Secretary of the Department of Legal and Humanitarian Cooperation of the European Integration Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
From 2021 to 2024, he served as Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. He was in charge of foreign policy and strategic partnership development.
In 2024, Sybiha was appointed First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
According to RBC-Ukraine's sources, former Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba may head one of the important embassies. It is likely to be in Brussels, where, in addition to Ukraine's missions to the EU and NATO, there are also Ukrainian embassies in Belgium and Luxembourg.
