Ukrainian painter Kyrylo Grinov dies fighting on front

Ukrainian artist Kyrylo Grinov was killed on the front line. He volunteered for service in the early days of the full-scale war, according to PEN Ukraine.
Kyrylo Grinov was a member of the artistic collective R.E.S. (Revolutionary Experimental Space).

Kyrylo Grinov joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in February 2022, volunteering immediately after the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
In 2024, he was wounded near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.
In the spring of 2025, his brother, Anatoliy Grinov, went missing on the front line.
Kirill has a daughter.
Previously, RBC-Ukraine reported that Italian volunteer Luca Cecca was killed in battles for Ukraine.
In January 2025, 19-year-old Polish volunteer Filip Antosiak, who had left his studies in the UK to join a Ukrainian strike drone unit, was also killed.
In the same month, a 30-year-old Austrian volunteer was reported dead.
