This morning, October 13, two Russian ships were deployed on combat duty in the Black Sea. These vessels are armed with Kalibr-type cruise missiles, according to the Ukrainian Navy.

The military clarified that in the event of a missile attack from this group of enemy ships, a total salvo of up to 8 Kalibr missiles is possible.

At the same time, the enemy has not deployed any ships in the Sea of Azov, where their presence has not been observed for a significant period.

"In the Mediterranean Sea, there are two enemy ships, one of which is armed with Kalibr cruise missiles with a potential salvo of up to four missiles," added the Ukrainian Navy.

Additionally, according to the Ukrainian military, during the past 24 hours, in the interests of Russia, the following vessels passed through the Kerch Strait:

  • to the Black Sea - 6 ships, 2 of which continued towards the Bosphorus Strait;
  • to the Sea of Azov - no ships.

The Ukrainian military has noted that the Russian side continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by disabling their automatic identification systems.

Previously, the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy, Dmytro Pletenchuk, pointed out that although Russian ships have been pushed out of the Black Sea, the enemy still holds an advantage in the airspace due to their active use of aviation and drones.

Additionally, the Ukrainian Navy recently discussed whether storms would affect the Russian ability to deploy missile carriers in the Black Sea.
